Katie + Dan – An Elegant Downtown Calgary Wedding
It was important for both Katie and Dan, that their wedding reflect the home they built and reflect on their style and love for each other. They invited all of their family and close friends to travel to Calgary and share in their big day.
Katie got ready at her home in Calgary while Dan chose to get ready at the hotel near their wedding venue. Katie was surrounded by her mom, dad and 2 sisters that morning, they laughed and drank mimosas while sitting outside on her deck in the warm sun. Katie and Dan hosted a Catholic ceremony at their church. With Prince’s Island Park so close to home, we went there for family portraits and photos for the bridal party and bride and groom. Once done, we cruised over to Osteria where Dan and Katie were hosting their cocktail hour and reception. Traditional Italian fair was served and for dessert they had a cake for cutting and cupcakes for their guests to enjoy. Katie’s friend Stacey provided a candy bar and Dan even entertained his guests with a little rap on stage during the dancing. The night was fun and filled with laughter, great food, great wine and lots of love!

How does your wedding reflect your style as a couple: The wedding was meant to be sophisticated and fancy and modern (which reflects our style) but also incorporate our favorite things – good food and wine.
What is your favourite memory of the day: laughing at the funny stories and speeches
Any comments you want to include about your vendors: All vendors were excellent – could not have been happier and would use all of them again if needed and will recommend all to friends.
